Cyclist Access

Technical Clarification Number
TRA3-T-MR1-0673

Guidance
2013-04-29

For gated security communities and developments, a security boom is not considered an obstruction provided that cyclists have access to the development that is at least as convenient as vehicular access.

To demonstrate compliance with this, the project team must in the Short report include a description of the access granted to both cyclist and motorists as well as the description of the unimpeded cyclist route between the bicycle storage space(s) and the adjacent street.
