Definition of Gym equipment

As noted in the Interiors Technical Manual (pg. 223) “This requirement applies to appliances, office equipment, electronics, and commercial food service equipment. Excluded are HVAC, lighting, and building envelope products”
Gym equipment is considered electronic and therefore required to be included in the fit out calculations.

Furthermore, ‘all equipment’ includes any equipment that draws (electrical) power.

Spaces smaller than 75 square feet

For Ene-1.2.2 HVAC Occupancy Sensors where a space is  frequently unoccupied throughout each day and are smaller than 75 square feet are not required to have individual active controls capable of sensing space use and therefore the project team can eliminate the occupancy sensors.

The following is to be included:

- The compliance route and credits chosen; and
- Providing a summary of how the various criteria are met; and
- Referencing supporting documentation where applicable.
