In order to achieve 1 point for Occupant Comfort Survey, project teams must comply with all of the credit criteria per the Technical Manual, including the Population and Sample Size sections of the credit criteria, and where the qualitative & detailed surveying is done and the correct sample size is achieved.

Under IEQ-4 in the credit Criteria for Occupancy survey, under credit criteria please edit to read “1 point is awarded where at least one occupant comfort survey is conducted during the performance period and the minimum sample size is met during the performance period. Please see Table 2 below: Determining survey sample size.”


Where is states : “At least one survey must be undertaken during the measurement period, in order to obtain points under this credit.” Replace this with: “At least one survey that must meet the minimum sample size (see Table 2 below for survey sample size) must be undertaken during the measurement period, in order to obtain points under this credit.”

Under Occupation Satisfaction surveys add a Note end of sentence
acceptable scale in this regard. Note that scales need not necessarily be a 7 point scale, but must be able to distinguish between satisfied, neutral and dissatisfied.
